First guy 90% done

Been having good progress even with some RL stuff going on and Im almost out of paint thinner :( Here are some pics of the squad leader so far.

I learned how to add damage and chipped paint with sponge and it looks really nice on these guys. Also some streaks of dirty / rusted water fit really well with the decayed theme of Death Guard. It also breaks that clean white look pretty well.

Color scheme = Check!

My test mini is finally done, only need to touch up rusts, pustules and maybe do some highlights on green trims. Ill do battle damage, blood effects and weathering when I get some matt varnish. Here are some pics of the test mini, enjoy!

Hello and welcome to my blog! Here you can follow my learning trip through the world of miniatures and paints. Last time I painted was back in 2006 and they were absolutely horrible, no I did not thin my paints nor removed moldmarks. But now Im back, moved to own apartment, and got money to buy and time to test paints and techniques I want. Here is quick photo of my workstation.

 At the moment Im working on heresy-era Death Guard, my long time favourite chapter. 5 Grey Knight marines are waiting in my drawer but I currently dont have any idea what I want to do with them. So lets go with Nurgle shall we! And here is my test mini.

Im really happy how this came out but ill change green trim a little when I get the paint for it. Next update will come when I get this guy done and am ready to start with rest of the squad.
